NFL Week 3 Best Prop Bets
In the blink of an eye, two weeks of the NFL season have come and gone, and Week 3 is upon us. Whether you are feeling optimistic or pessimistic about your favorite team’s performance so far, you can always look forward to beating the books and raking in some cash.
After a strong 4-1 start to our betting record last Thursday, there’s some great receiving lines to take advantage of this week. When placing your bets, consider taking these five overs.
Dalton Schultz Over 49.5 Receiving Yards vs. Indianapolis Colts
After a modest four catch, 35 yard showing in Week 1, Schultz burst onto the scene in Nico Collins’ absence in Week 2. The tight end carried Houston’s offense, finishing with 12 receptions for 140 yards.
Schultz will look to continue to be the engine in the offense this week, as Collins will miss his second straight contest due to a hamstring injury, and he faces a great matchup to do so.
Week 1 against Baltimore, the Colts allowed 66 yards to tight ends, and last week against the Chiefs they allowed Travis Kelce to put up a whopping 101 yards.
With such great circumstances working in Schultz’s favor, this is my favorite play of the week.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba Over 90.5 Receiving Yards vs. Washington Commanders
After winning the OPOY Award last season, Smith-Njigba seems determined to become the first repeat winner since Marshall Faulk’s three-peat from 1999-2001.
Smith-Njigba has 17 catches, 277 yards and four touchdowns through two games, and he’s cleared 120 yards in each of them. Making his stats even more impressive, he’s done so without Sam Darnold, who was injured just five plays into the NFL’s opening game of the season.
However, he gets Darnold back this week, and he faces a great matchup in the process. Washington’s secondary is absolutely abysmal, and they just let CeeDee Lamb catch eight balls for 153 yards and two touchdowns.
All signs point to Smith-Njigba’s third straight 100+ yard game, so take this number with confidence.
Chris Olave Over 76.5 Receiving Yards vs. Las Vegas Raiders
After flashing signs of budding chemistry with Tyler Shough in Weeks 15-17 last season, Olave is off to a blazing start in 2026. The Ohio State product posted a 10-182-0 line in Week 1, and an 8-86-1 line in Week 2.
Olave looks to smash this line for the third straight week against the Raiders, and while they didn’t allow a receiver on the Chargers’ broken offense to clear 76.5 yards last week, they did let Dolphins rookie Caleb Douglas torch them for 94 yards in Week 1.
Olave is miles above Douglas and plays in a much better offense, so expect him to cruise past this mark.
Colston Loveland Over 35.5 Receiving Yards vs. Philadelphia Eagles
After finishing last season looking poised to be the top option in an explosive Bears offense, Loveland hasn’t lived up to hype so far. He’s caught just one pass for three yards, but this could be the week things begin to turn upward for him.
While many may look at Caleb Williams going down with a hamstring injury as a significant blow to any hope for Loveland to get going, this could end up being the best thing for him. Usually, a tight end is a backup quarterback’s best friend, acting as a security blanket on many plays.
With either Tyson Bagent (concussion) or Case Keenum in line to start Monday, Loveland could see plenty of targets. Additionally, while the Eagles’ linebackers are tough against tight ends, they also have an extraordinary secondary Ben Johnson may not be inclined to challenge very much with a backup quarterback.
This is definitely the riskiest pick out of the five, but it’s worth buying such a low line for a massively talented tight end who has things working in his favor.
Emmett Johnson Over 10.5 Receiving Yards vs. Miami Dolphins
Through two weeks, Johnson has flashed potential to become a viable weapon for the Chiefs out of the backfield. The only problem: He sits behind Kenneth Walker, who looks like an MVP candidate and leads the league in touches heading into Week 3.
However, Andy Reid said that as the season goes on, they’d like to work Johnson into a bigger role on the offense and create a good balance between the two backs.
With Kansas City facing the Dolphins this week, it could be the perfect time to do just that. The Chiefs are favored by 10.5 points, and Miami hasn’t shown a whole lot of promise this season.
Mahomes and company should have no problem getting out to an early lead and rolling over the Dolphins, allowing them to ease off the Walker pedal a bit and give Johnson a great opportunity to clear 10.5 receiving yards for the third week in a row.
